Glyphs

So my DK now that I have my internet has continued his glyph business, back up to doing 4-500g a day on him. I would like to be able to pull that up to over 5 - 10k a day though and I will as I level it and discover more minor glyphs because those go for the most on my server so far. Major glyphs are in the silvers and continues to stay there. I am on a high population server with a lot of competition and most don't care about prices I suppose or profit.

I go through my glyphs everyday to see which ones are selling for the most anything that goes for 10+g is what I try to stick with and am holding out on the lower ones. My bag business on my mage went out of style like nothing the past week, the prices were reduced to below 10g and the netherweave cloth was going for 8 - 9 so just wasn't worth my time to money ratio. Frostweave bags I have not been able to make any money on anymore for 6 imbued frostweave cloths I would pay around 100g and the bags go for 80 - 90 at this point. Just buying the bags like that saves money for me.

Something I have been making a little additional money on was while running back and forth from the AH to the inscription place are buying small item like a copper rod and a number of enchanting recipes that are in the same building I pull in around 50 + additional g per day that way.

My tailor has switched to just selling the Ebonweave in itself because people are selling ebonweave items below mats cost. Hell if I care either way less work and it takes about ten min to port to dal and fly to where the Ebonweave has to be made and then port back to IF. Well worth it for a 200+g profit. My last ones went for 115g - cost of Eternals. Well thats it for today more and more to come.

DK Inscription

My inscriptionist is really starting to pay off now. He is now getting a good 100g in his mailbox everytime I look every few hours. It seems that on the server I am on he the minor inscriptions are the best money makers. So it works well. Sometimes just selling the mats makes a lot of money.

Alrighty

Currently I am working on glyphing still. Got him to 195 just been selling the glyphs as I make them. He is only making about 100g a day at this point because the mats have been either ridiculously expensive or there are no mats on the AH. I don't want to go out and farm mats though. That is the point of making and selling stuff. Buying mats, making glyphs, selling them for more then the cost of making. However one person bought all the goldthorn and placed it at 100+g. Fadeleaf and Khadgar's Whisker has been slightly better priced at 30g or so a stack. Ugg I know right. Shoot even peaceblooms were above 5 - 20g a stack I refused at that point to buy. Soon I will just start making glyphs that have cheap mats until the prices come down again. I really need to get that guy to start making 5kg/d to feel better about myself rofl.

My mage tailor is kicking it still with the bag market. He easily makes 500g a day off bags alone. I am interested in seeing what will happen. There is an occasional person or two who thinks they can start in the bag market but the primary seller of bags always drives them out and I just back off to let him do so since he seems to have more inventory and time at the AH. Thats not too bad for me though. I use the market to my advantage. I actually wait til that guy goes off and then undercut him by just a little and only put like 4 or 5 bags up at a time. They normally sell within an hour or so plus waiting for money lol. Good times there though.

Now my main who has the mining and herbing I am thinking I need to change to I am thinking engineering and blacksmithing. Either that or blacksmithing and jewelcrafting. I just don't know yet it depends what I choose to do with him.

Mage

So my mage finally has a very nice steady stream of income with bags. Today I opened my box and had over 200g in bag money. Can't beat that.

Wasn't able to check my glyph dk today because I had to get to work. Yuck.

I keep thinking of other ways I can make money for my mage. Not sure what do with him. Enchanting hasn't been making a lot of money lately. I have to get that maxed.

Bag bags and more bags

This is thus far a big part of my business. I sell between 20 - 30 a night at about 3 - 7 g profit a piece. Last night, however, prices started going down. The bags were going for around 12g as opposed to the 13.5 - 14.5 they were going for. Also Netherweave prices came to record low for a while and I bought a crap load of stacks at 5g each stack. I don't know why people do it but I won't ask and just make more profits.

Also on one of my mains I took the business of below price blues and reslisting. This has been working pretty well.

I am listing glyphs as I level glyphs on my dk that I made. I leveled him to 60 really quick because I would like to max out all glyphs and continue learning the minor glyphs. This is fantastic and although I am not making too much money as of yet I am placing around 100 on the AH a day.

On my mage I still need to hit enchanting higher but I am working on building mats. Paying for them is outrageous for the moment but really have to cap it. I am 5 levels away from capping tailoring out. Once I start making my 5k - 10k a week I will be happy I would hope. Hope you enjoyed the post.

Fun fun blues

I was scanning the AH yesterday and found multiple blues underpriced. One I got for around 40g and sold it for 271g. Another Timmy's PeeShooter lol was 19g ended up selling it for a quick 20g profit at 49g. And yet another which I can't recall the name I bought for 15g and sold it for 75g. I love stupid peeps but they get their money and I get mine so it works well for me.

Still haven't found a great market for my mage who's tailoring is 442 atm. It is very sad that he can make epics but can't really sell them for more then the price of mats. I make more money making netherweave bags then anything else. I sell between 4 - 5 at a time still and norm sell around 20 a night if the netherweave stays cheaper which is between 5 - 8g and sell the bags for 12 - 14.50 a bag. Its a healthy profit margin. Still haven't gotten too far into the glyph market. I am thinking about taking my herbalism or mining out of my warrior and changing him to the glyph market but I just don't know yet. I worked damn hard but I hate flying around farming even on my epic flier. Just want to play with something new.

Making an Epic

This might become a rant I don't know. All I know is that why when very few people are placing things on the AH they would undercut to below mat cost. What in the world is the point? I mean it might cost you 500g to make an epic and a person undercuts to that price. They have sold for well over 700+g but why would you keep the price there. Business yes but at the same time I think the kids that play the game sometimes are idiots.

I had placed the gloves the only ones on the AH for 675g to be somewhat fair and then all of a sudden another one had undercut to 600g and yet another below that. Really people, good business would be to keep the price up because only one or two people do this. Lets make our profits people. If you want to undercut, undercut by a gold or two.

Auction House Progress

Last night I started with around 112g on my mage. I decided to make netherweave bags and they were selling like hotcakes. I would place 4 - 5 on the AH and they were gone normally within about an hour. I will probably continue to do this tonight because its a steady stream of income.

As I was waiting for these to sell I then ran AH and probably spent 50g buying and reselling things. This morning before I had to go to work I double checked on sales and I brought my mage back up to 232g or so. I will post a pic soon for this as well. By the end of the night I had over 135 auctions on the AH from buying low and selling high.

My eventual goal will be to gold cap this guy just to say that I did it. I think tonight I am going to try and get my auctions above 1000. I am hoping to make an income of up to 5k/g per day at least. I would like this by next week.

Getting sidetracked

Needless to say I have gotten side-tracked. I started to finish leveling my warrior because he was 78 and I just couldn't leave him there. He is now 80 and has a couple of epics from pvp mainly. But hell, it works.

An update on my gf's and my druids will be coming soon.

My bank on that server is still buying, reselling and getting his professions up.

On my current server which is my main server I am working on getting a decent business going to start making 10k/w. Right now I would say I am at about 1000g but still too slow going to be called a goblin business man.

On my mage I decided to buy toys in Dalaran and try to sell them as I did not find any in the AH. I will let you know how that goes. I also am going to start making bags again on this one. Most of the time that is good money. I also began porting people as a business charging 3g min per port I got about 10 ports yesterday. One girl paid me 10g for a port to shat so that worked well as free money except for port cost which are about 18s. Good profit margin to me and easy to do.

Last night

So I decided to start my business on my regular server and had never been a business man on that server to this date so my 80 mage only had like 30g on him after a respec for pvp. I was like well then, time to apply the same business techniques as I have been using on the new server I started on. I flew around and collected pets then went to the neutral AH in everlook. From there I took a look at the prices and what did I find to my suprise? There were no alliance animal on the neutral AH so I decided to post them 50g buyout. I am not sure if this will actually take place but I figure as long as there are no others I may as well attempt and see if they start to get sold. If I go back tonight and learn that someone undercut me I will mass cancel and replace all of them at below the market to sell quickly.

My other pet business on the new server that my dk is taking care of seems to have dried up already though. There aren't many takers even at a decently low market value. Those sell between 9 - 25g each. I haven't determined what to do I just want to sell quickly so I am thinking maybe I should try to lower the value even further if I can mass sell at 5g each say then I will make more. Maybe I will give it a shot tonight. Recipes are still selling very well and will have to fly around to pick up more soon. Normal recipes you can pick up at fps all over are going for over 25g. So my second bank is taking care of those. My glyph business is still slow and the market seems pretty full so I may have to put that one on hold because I am also still leveling that.

Oh and Happy July 4th from yesterday. I am way worn out from last night and that.

Another Banking day

So I got on and found someone trying to undercut some of my Auctions so I don't mind I just cancel and republish them. No biggy but I have already started to receive hate mail. Lol this guy sent a mail to my box saying a rabbit for 25g I just bought one for 1g. I sent one back saying lol y do you care what I sell stuff for. It makes money for me that I need. He never responded back so eh, pansy is all I have to say.

I also started with inscription. I am only at like 115 though so not too much in that but I have made a toon that I will be sending everything I want to sell to. Will have to buy bags. Another thing on this server is the huge lack of bags. I just peeked today at the price and it was like 19g for a 16 slot. Almost have tailoring up but there is a lack of cloth I might have to actually farm the cloth.

That would be sad or I will just be patient and pick it up as I level on my other toons with my gf and my war.

Quick Money Making notes

Gathering Professions

Auction Housing
- Specializing
- Crafting
- Buy low/sell high
- Auctioneer

Neutral Auction Housing
- Alliance/Horde only items
- Quantity
- Kill off competition
- Mass Cancelling

On Specializing - One must pick only a few places to monopolize on the AH. Take for instance Linen Cloth. Buy all the linen cloth on AH and sell at your price. Check back often and make sure no one is undercutting you. Continue to do this until the market is gone or doesn't work anymore.

On Crafting - Check prices of mats for people that can craft. Have someone craft the items for you if you do not specialize in that profession and then resell finished product on AH for a much higher price. Normally epic items work for this. It's harder with anything 80 and below other then such things that are in high use such as bags.

On buy low/sell high - This is about as simple as it comes but as you check the AH or you have been on a server for a while you know when you see a good deal. For instance, one time I was like a level 12 on new server I found a blue item going for 10g I bought it instantly and reput the item on for 90g and it sold. There are only a few deals like this but you when find them they are well worth it. Also buying items that you would normally see go for say 5g each you see a stack for 7g, I would buy it and resell each individual item at the 5g. I have made a ton this way.

On Auctineer - This is a great tool to use. Anyone who wants to play with the AH should use this. It finds the deals for you. Get it, use it, practice it.

These of course are only a few of the tools I use to make some decent gold. Once I have gone on this server I am currently starting from scratch from I will post more.

Working on DK Bank

Well since my girlfriend got tired I started a new toon to level while she isn't able to play. Much more to my liking I leveled extremely fast. I am level 13 currently. I chose a gnome warrior cause they are funny looking and they annoy people even better. He has about 3 hrs of play time on him I think. I will take a screen shot and post it when I get home tonight.

Working on my DK bank I don't believe the pets are selling fast enough and since there seems to be a lack of bags on my server I am powerleveling tailoring on my dk and took up enchanting for DE purposes. Only had about 10 min this morning to work on this but got to 75 so good start and I bought all my bank slots for him.

We will see how it goes but I will keep you all updated.

Day 2

So we made it to level 12 and have made it to Auberdine after accomplishing all quests but one cause of the really crappy drop rate in the initial areas. We will really start questing in Auberdine on our next venture probably tonight or tomorrow.

Still selling pets I haven't had to go around and reup on any of the pets I am selling on the neutral AH. Still going well although some people need to learn not to undercut too much and drive the price down I check a couple times a day now just to make sure I am not being undercutted and due to the small price of pets you know you can still make some money. I would say I am making about 200g a week off this so far but my goal is to get up to 10k a week eventually after I discover more ways on this server to make money.

After I hit 1000g on the dk I will bring him to a main city and start having items crafted for me that are epic in order to make a profit that way. On one server I know it didn't take more then 5 minutes to find a recipe I want made, buy the mats, and have them crafted.

Patients is a virtue but WoW is all about keeping up on leveling, getting better items, and making gold to pay for everything you need throughout your journey.

After 3 days of starting my dk bank here he is -

Day 1

Day 1 started off really rough for leveling. We made 2 night elf druids but both my quest helper not working and really bad lag we only got to like level 8 the first round. Horrible leveling time. Really just doing the basic quests around the beginning areas.

The good news about the first day is I got a dk for a bank which I had to make to level 58 by the time I got to town then I flew around picking up alliance only animals and have been placing those on the neutral ah and they have been selling like hotcakes for between 9 and 25g. There is some competition but nothing too bad. I am thinking about sending the competition notes to try to monopolize the price on the other side since there are only one or 2 other people that could be some good business.

Now the other good news was that I made a lvl 1 near sw and ran her over there as a bank to send items too to sell. I found out prices on this server we chose has a nice medium-high population and the prices are high but pretty regulated. So I took up herbalism and have been sending all the herbs I get including a few greens we picked up along the way to this alt. The herbs have been selling quickly and at high prices. Last I checked I sold a 20 stack of earthroot for 6g. For beginner levels I definitely recommend picking up only gathering professions. Next one I plan on picking up with of course be skinning. My girlfriend also chose herbalism but we promised to only level those toons together. It will probably take us a while but who cares right. Something to do.

Anyway that was our first day leveling.
